Medical Transcription
Medical transcriptionists listen to audio dictated by physicians, and transcribe the physician's dictation in a variety of report formats. We create online courses that teaches students how to transcribe dictation based on correct use of medical terminology and AHDI guidelines for medical transcription. We also create courses on voice recognition for the medical transcription industry and update existing medical transcription courses.
Medical Coding with ICD-10 Training
Medical coders abstract information from medical records and assign ICD-9-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes to the data. We create blended learning courses that trains students on basic, intermediate and advanced medical coding concepts. We specialize in creating courses that help students transition from ICD-9-CM to ICD-10-CM coding. We also updated existing ICD-9 courses in preparation for ICD-10.
Medical Claims Processing
Medical claims examiners review insurance claim forms and, based on the codes listed by medical coders, process the insurance payment to the physician or hospital. We create courses on medical claims processing based on Medicare, Medicaid, and prospective payor guidelines. We also update existng courses to reflect the transition from ICD-9-CM to ICD-10-CM for claims examiners.

HIM professionals ensure that medical records are organized, up to date, and secure.
